If you think you’ve tasted the best brownies, you may have a different opinion after devouring these mouth watering Low-Carb brownies that come from this chocolate brownie recipe.

For a treat that tastes so rich & delicious it’s hard to believe that they’re pretty healthy, low-carb & Banting friendly as well.

Whilst I wouldn’t recommend that you substitute your healthy nutrient dense meals with these decadent chocolate Banting brownies, but they are gluten free & low-carb which allows you to indulge in these reasonably healthy treats.

Try them, I’m sure you’ll love them.

Chocolate Brownie Recipe – Healthy & 100% Delicious

Ingredients

  • 350grams 70% dark chocolate
  • 250 grams unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup xylitol
  • 4 large free range eggs
  • 100 gram gluten free flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup chopped pecan nuts; Topping (optional)
  • 150 grams 70% dark chocolate
  • 100 grams unsalted butter
  • 50 grams organic white chocolate

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Grease & line a 25 x 40 cm shallow baking dish
  • Melt the chocolate & butter in a double boiler
  • Remove from heat and set aside
  • Place the eggs & xylitol in a mixing bowl and beat until light and creamy
  • Stir in the vanilla essence
  • Add the gluten free flour and mix well
  • Add the cool chocolate mixture and pecan nuts
  • Stir until combined
  • Pour mixture into prepared dish
  • Bake for approximately 25 minutes
  • The centre should be soft and moist
  • Cool & cut into squaresTopping (optional)
  • Melt the chocolate & butter for the topping
  • Spread over cooled brownies and leave to set
  • To get the drizzle effect, I melted a small amount of organic white chocolate and drizzled over
  • Cut into squares
