Halloumi Wrapped In Bacon
These halloumi and bacon rolls are not only Banting & Keto friendly, but they’re the perfect low carb snack and so easy to make.
Once you’ve tasted them you won’t do without these easy to make halloumi wrapped in bacon snacks.
They’re great for anytime of day but they’re also the perfect lunchtime snack to take with you to work.
You can serve these delicious keto nuggets of energy with some avo, eggs, greens or just eat them as they are for a filling & nutritious snack.
If you want some more flavour you can eat them with this low carb Keto & Banting friendly dip and serve as an appetizer although they are quite filling.
Halloumi and Bacon Rolls Recipe
This recipe is ridiculously simple and produces these glorious cheesy, salty rolls of goodness.
If you want the bacon to be more crispy you could always pop them under the grill for a few moments.
Bacon and cheese, ’nuff said!
Ingredients
To make a snack for two people:
- 8 rashers of streaky bacon
- 8 sticks of haloumi cheese
- Olive oil
Method
- Wrap a bacon rasher around each of the sticks of cheese
- Repeat for all 8 rashers
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over a gentle heat
- Place the prepared rolls into the pan and fry gently, turning often to cook and crisp to your liking.
These snacks very filling and nutritious so I find that eating 4 of these halloumi and bacon rolls is plenty for me.
